genuinely think the fear mongering about abortion is what pushed SO MANY people to the right, to the GOP, which inevitably led them to MAGA & far right pro-ICE stances—which is ironically the antithesis of being “pro-life” it’s pro-white baby births

I will always go back to it being a control thing, women have the gift of being able to create mf life and the patriarchy/some religious sectors can’t deal with their patriarchal values crumbling so quickly at that idea, women having a power men don’t?!?! that’s spooky we gotta make it about the dead babies and Jesus

it’s 100% about control. if you can’t force a living person to keep another living person alive with their body, which i think is the objectively correct public policy, you shouldn’t force women to carry pregnancies. but they don’t care because it’s women v. “innocent babies” when it’s less sympathetic lives they don’t seem to care about the sanctity of life: ie. criminals.
