Someone told me it’s evil of me to keep my cats in the house. I don’t care how evil I am I want a alive cat not a flatten one

Honestly it’s the opposite that’s evil.. you’re exposing them to disease, predators, parasites, and if you let them free roam, then every other danger in the world for cats between traffic, rat poison, and just horrible people who kill cats on purpose

Whenever people talk about outside cats, I hate it. Their lifespans are lower and they’re terrible for the local ecosystem. The only natural predator to an outdoor cat in the suburbs is a Honda civic I’m more forgiving of barn cats but that’s because being outside and reducing pests is the whole name of their game

the only ethical way to have an outdoor cat is to install a catio or leash train. thats it.

every person i’ve ever met who has outdoor days their cats always end up “disappearing” when they’re still fairly young it’s horrible
