I’m an engineering student. There’s five of us in the class, and I’m the only girl. All of us besides one student are failing. When another student talked to the professor about dropping the class, the professor just told them to turn in some assignments and they’ll be fine. When it came to me, the professor basically laughed it off and said there’s no way I’ll pass the class. Me and the other student have similar grades in this course. Then I thought more about how the professor has treated me

Throughout the semester - being unresponsive to emails regarding my exam accommodations until the very last minute, making disrespectful comments when I would ask questions in class. The cherry on top of the exam accommodations was he had dropped off the exam for another student in our class prior to the exam date, but I didn’t know if I was even going to be taking the exam day of since he wouldn’t respond to me

Do you think this other student would be willing to help you out with a formal complaint? You shouldn’t be failing a class when you both have the same grades

I could ask. As much as I care about graduating, I feel horrible bringing someone else into this

Just ask! He can’t retaliate towards them, if he does that’s cause to be fired.

nothing to feel horrible about! the work they’ll have to do in regards to it is probably minimal
