Gives reassurance. And no you would not able to practice without board certification for most circumstances!

Well, I’m in vet med but I know to be a vet assistant you don’t need to have a real certification, but that is smth you can have. Some states may have other requirements as well. Think of it like a rabies shot, not required before you work places, but helped with liability purposes if you do get bit.
