it was just uncomfortable unfortunately even though it was in a good spot, it burned like how latex feels (it was plastic). i also read a lot of stuff online and thought if these symptoms actually happened to me i’d be really just not good. i already genetically bad headaches, and don’t want to gain weight or have issues with my period. i also decided i didn’t want to adjust to a new birth control when i like my pill. i just wanted to see if it helped with my sex drive but idk if it’s worth it

Oh yikes! That’s unusual. Any chance there was lotion or another product on your hands while inserting? If not, it’s still possible that this is temporary as your body adjusts, but it’s perfectly fine to not want to wait it out to find out. You may like the patch if you’re looking for another medium maintenance method. Personally, I’d give the ring one more shot. Rinse it with lukewarm water, insert with clean hands,and see what happens. But of course you know your body and risk tolerance best.
