like its cultural atp. men and women ofc, but demonizing men or trying to invalidate their masculinity by calling them gay legitimately only keeps them in the closet bc they dont feel safe to be honest about being bisexual or wtv. if you dont wanna date a bi man thats fine. but resorting to homophobia only ensures he wont tell you, which deprives you of making that choice. self perpetuating on all sides

to be fair, some of the worst men (and women) i’ve met were just really deep in the closet and in extreme denial and just taking out that hatred of themselves on other ppl, especially partners. not all, but definitely some 😭

i see/hear it all the time. “oh hes gay then” “he must be gay”… its pretty common unfortunately. and ur right but two things can be true at once. men can be misogynistic dicks, and women can blame their behavior on fighting homosexuality. its just sad to see yk. like i rarely advocate for men bc they generally suck. but i would rather they live freely rather than taking it out on us, because we contribute to a culture that makes them feel like they cant. if that makes sense
