I know plenty of women solo travel and stay safe but this particular video was showing a nightclub in Cancun in the second part of the video which there is just no way is safe to go to alone as a woman. So yes women can travel solo but they have to take way more precautions and still miss out on certain activities compared to men.

I mean yeah woman have to take more precautions in life in the US too, they have to take more precautions everywhere. My screenshot was just an example because it really stood out to me. But the overall sentiment that it must be so fun, and easier, to be a guy is true for a lot of scenarios, not just specifically solo traveling out of the country. Though that is a really big one that is dumb to ignore. I’m not sure why you’re arguing against this.

I never said don’t solo travel as a woman. It just is a lot riskier for us and we have a lot more to consider when we do it. We always have to be more on guard. That’s a fact.

Tourist cities also have the most protection. Airport security, resort security, accessible emergency services, CCTV cameras everywhere. Cities without tourists are riskier because they lack a lot of that, have weaker crime enforcement (relatively) and if you’re an ethnicity uncommon in the area it makes you a greater target. Btw very few sex traffickers don’t target tourists because kidnapping is ineffective. Date rape happens basically everywhere
