The dichotomy of society is women being marketed 100 products to use in 1 shower, and men get 1-in-10 soap

I use two types of “soap” in the shower - one shampoo, and one for when I want to feel ladylike. If I’m cool with being my normal tomboy self, I just use the shampoo over everything…

If you're going to use just one soap it should probably be a bar soap. If you want to get fancy with it then do bar soap + a nice shower gel.

shower gel/body wash is literally just liquid soap it IS clean don’t let other ppl make u feel gross for using a completely normal and effective product <3 occasionally i personally use a separate exfoliant but it’s just extra, body wash is fine!

Exactly I’ve read books on skin care and shower gel is a body deterrent. Same with liquid face wash it is a face detergent

so generally shower gel has artificial fragrances and dyes, which isn’t good for sensitive skin (obv). it can clean well enough with just hands, but it’s best to use some sort of washcloth to mechanically clean, and exfoliate once a week to really get the grime off.

I’m scared of ppl who use just their hands. And yeah sensitive skin does limit what type of wash u should be using and definitely adjust according to skin needs. But the soap still cleans properly but ppl online are acting like it doesn’t and u need like two other soaps to be properly clean (im not telling u off i promise ily) which from where im standing is really weird
