Man I hear about it so much that I don’t bring it up at all. Why ruin a school/work/something environment you should be professional in? Because even if it “should” be professional, bias never changes or ends for anyone. Just keep that for friends and personal matters outside the workplace is my advice
Because I think time, people and place is important. But my friend said I’m a terrible liberal because I’m staying silent, no I’m not I’m just not talking about it with people who’s perspective I know I can’t change and would much rather not argue with because I have to be around them constantly
i work in a very conservative environment. i’m leaving that job soon but i definitely stay quiet and hold my tongue because i don’t want to ruin the professional relationships ive developed with my bosses and coworkers. you’re not wrong for it. it comes to a point where protecting your peace and ensuring you remain on good terms with important people is more important than speaking up, especially if they are already fixed in their mindset.
Conservatives won’t speak around liberals and liberals won’t speak around conservatives. Or shouldn’t! Cause it’s kind of pointless like you said. It rarely ever ends up being a DEBATE, it’s always an ARGUMENT. The real change is coming from ALL these folks going and voting on their OWN. Not bickering every single day tbh. Live your life, friend.
