There’s a family friend that had four kids pretty close together because her second pregnancy was triplets… that being said she chose not to have anymore after

I have a feeling these poor kids will not get the level of parenting they deserve…

A girl my age (23) is on her 5th kid and 2nd husband / baby daddy. Her second kid is man #1s. The other four are man #2s. But for 5 years she told everyone her first two kids were both man #1s

i mean thats kinda how you do that. she had no way of knowing itd be triplets, thats so rare. but im glad at least she knows that shes done and hopefully she can provide for them all. the video i was referencing was 5 different pregnancies, 3 different fathers. at 27. like after 2 and u had no support, thats time to close down shop. having a 5th as a single mom, and keeping it, when u cant provide for the first 4 is absolutely insane.

The kids are my brother and I’s ages so she and her husband have been able to provide them and both have said the decision to stop after the triplets was mutual. She has even said that she wanted a girl (all four are boys) but the risk of having another set of triplets wasn’t one she was willing to take for that desire.

smart woman. i thought they were babies/children lmao, if they’re all grown then genuinely, someone needs to give them a medal. emotionally and financially providing for 4 children when you only expected 2 is a feat. im so happy it worked out for everyone involved and i wish them all prosperity

5 kids and only been an adult for 5 years is crazy, not to mention kid #2 being the only one with a different baby daddy??? 😬

She only very recently admitted baby 1 wasn’t her first husband’s. She was FRESHLY pregnant when she married him. She also dropped out junior year of high school JUST to marry him

She’s a POS too. Very MAGA, homophobic but also claims to be bi. Always talks about how women should stay home and clean and never make their man use a condom, have dinner ready for him. She gets mad every time she has a girl bc they’re “too much drama.” Wants to homeschool her kids using the Bible

always a forgotten concern. even if ur financially capable…4+ kids and no dad? how do u go to all the sports and recitals and ceremonies? how do u give appropriate attention to all without someone being left out or the oldest being parentified? its not possible. its v sad

It’s deeply upsetting. My ex girlfriend (I’m a lesbian) has 6 siblings. As the second oldest she was always running around acting like a third or fourth parent going to all of these events when she got her license a few years ago. It makes me sad because the older siblings usually get the bad end of the stick in this situation.

This is such a frustrating assumption as someone who grew up as 1 of 9. We all got exactly what we needed. However I know many wealthier families with 1-2 kids who were neglected and developed all sorts of issues from it. Idk why people feel so comfortable being condescending to big families

respectfully bc it’s simple math. it’s a lot more likely two parents (or even just one) will be able to devote the time and attention needed to raise 1-2 children vs dividing that up between several others

because your family is the exception not the rule in that case, a VAST majority of bigger families are not capable of meeting alllll of their children’s emotional needs, as someone who was parentified as a child because of this

There are literally only children who talk about being parentified / having to parent their own mom and dad. Data shows that kids who grow up with more siblings develop solving problems and adaptation skills earlier as well. It’s all about the quality of the parenting and value dynamics of the family members.

I’m sorry your needs weren’t met but it’s just not true this is the “vast majority.” Until recently big families were the norm for thousands of years.

only children being parentified is not nearly as common as with those in larger families

This study admits to over sampling poor and poc communities, this isn’t the statement you want to make (I hope). Also only 6,000 mothers, you could easily get this discrepancy by sampling from public school systems in different states. It’s insanely classist to say kids whose parents can’t afford tutors don’t deserve to be here. Which of these kids do you think don’t deserve to be here? Go talk to any elementary school teacher in 2026 and ask which students can problem solve.

soooooo you looked at one of the articles i gave but not the other two? that was literally just one of the first i found, and honestly i do think it’s incredibly irresponsible of parents to continue having kids when they’re in a poor financial situation, being unable to provide support your kid might need is bad parenting, tutoring is available cheap or even free if you know where to look but it requires effort and time which may not be easily done when there’s many other kids who have needs too

also “go talk to any elementary school teacher in 2026” right… and your source for that one is where? mind you i went to a teachers college and have several friends in early childhood education

From talking to teachers and also common sense. Talk to your friends. If you prefer racist studies of sample size 6k I guess you do you. Make sure to let your teacher friends know which kids don’t deserve to be here at all let alone in their classrooms.

weird assumption that i haven’t talked to my friends but ok, and also now pulling race into it out of no where while still providing no source of your own… if you don’t have proof for what you’re saying besides you’re own anecdotal evidence just say so

this is a hot take, but i think ppl who have sexualities that make having children more difficult care more. not always the case but. wlw women dont play about having and caring for children the way hetero ppl do.
