you have to be very selective tbh. i was only in 2 month long relationships until i met my current boyfriend that i’ve been with for over a year now! i knew i needed a man who agreed with me on certain political topics, could take care of himself, was friends with girls in a normal way, and had a great relationship with his family. it took a long time to find a guy who hit all the boxes, but all of those things were extremely important to me, and i knew if i budged on them, things would fail

Agree with #2- VERY selective. Became friends with my now boyfriend over the summer & obviously found him cute so I made sure to ask a bunch of questions without being too obvious to gage how he would respond to situations/feels about things. I do the same now in my relationship talking about marriage & pregnancy. Complaining about something and seeing how he responds is a good way to get an idea too. His friends & how he acts around others is a good thing to pay attention to as well.
