what 😭 well if you google woman pronunciation that’s how i’ve heard most people pronounce it. it’s more similar to women. so my guess it’s easier to get mixed up / mistranslate from what’s in your head to what you type. that’s why people rarely make the same mistake with man/men

I remember researching the origin a year or so ago; blame the Anglo saxons. man/mann used to be gender neutral then once the words woman and women started evolving from it, wimman/wimmen was ironically used interchangeably for singular woman and groups of women).
