i don’t like it in the slightest and it’s not my style. she said i need to “grow up” and start acting my age and less like a child. i’m insecure of my looks and i always get mistaken for younger than i am so that was a low blow for me. now she’s mad i don’t like the gift and she said “well i’ll just get my money back and then you won’t have any gifts this year”

like i know she’s my mother and all but it’s like she’s not even trying to see from my pov. i feel like my whole life she been trying to mold and change me into something she wants rather than who i really am

I’m sorry that happened… I don’t wear makeup either. There’s nothing wrong with not wearing it and it’s definitely not a requirement to wear it in order to be an adult woman. I hope you’re doing alright
