I recently befriended someone and i was so excited bc she seemed cool and today i saw a bunch of tiktok’s she reposted about how she doesn’t like transwomen and the LGBTQ community and now im realizing i need to learn peoples views before befriending them

I get that, one issue i hate as an adult is like where u draw the line at views and still being friends i have some homophobic friends that are religious but i barely see them and we are all straight and dont even talk about gay people, i also have a friend w a somewhat racist boyfriend but im not gonna unfriend her cuz of it when i like her and my whole friend group a lot and it would make things awkward and i would need to leave the group she introduced me to and the list goes on and

to each their own. I met this girl along with my friends and most of us are part of the LQBTQ community including myself and my best friend is trans. I just can’t be friends with someone who thinks being gay or trans is wrong and gross. Same goes for someone who is racist. Our views don’t align and those are two things i’m not willing to put up with. How can I be friends with someone who thinks i’m disgusting and sinful just for being myself.
