I don’t think poor people can’t have kids, my family wasn’t very well off ourselves. However it hurts me to see families with 7+ kids in severe debt and they just keep having more. I do not think it’s a healthy environment for children to grow up in if they don’t have their basic needs provided, or have to watch their parents constantly stressed over money because it rubs off on them and cause some pretty deep trauma. What I am saying is that if you CANNOT provide basic needs for a child,

Financial troubles can pop up after kids are born of course, but people will still continue to have kids despite KNOWING they cannot afford them or provide them with what they need. I did not say poor people can’t have kids, but if you know you can’t afford to care for one, it’s horrible to bring a child into that life especially when you are aware of your finances and especially if it was a planned pregnancy
