Got double piercings in my ears with guns (tbf my first set was when I was 10 and my mom took me to the mall, can't blame me) and I got my second set at Claire's like a decade later. Mine personally ended up fine but I do think my piercings from Claire's did take longer to heal. I do think overall a piercing shop is better tho from the information I've heard
Claire’s is basically the only option because I go back to school soon, and won’t be able to book an appointment at a piercing shop and actually make it to the appointment bc I don’t have a car. I know that guns use blunt force to pierce your ears, but I think that if I pay extra attention to them and clean them I will be okay. I think
When I got my piercings, my piercer told me to NEVER twist the piercing around, you want to gently push and pull the earrings in and out. I used both saline solution AND dial antibacterial soap she recommended. And it’s controversial but when my piercing was more healed, she told me to try tea tree oil if it had bumps forming, so the oil could dry fluids out
not sure, my bf got his done at claire’s this year (after i told him not to 🙃) and they also got infected so i’m even more against claire’s. however, there are plenty of people who have had no issues! just my personal opinion that you should definitely wait until you can go to a reputable piercer
I’m only glad you changed your mind cause the reason piercing guns have a bad rap actually relates to why you never twist your piercing when cleaning it. A piercing gun is pretty much blunt force trauma on the tissue than a clean cut from a needle being inserted. It crushes the tissue, which poses more risks! And don’t be scared! It’s not bad, just a pinch! I’m just a wuss when it comes to pain so I take Tylenol😭
