I don’t like men who don’t like cats because to me it means they can’t stand the thought of not being able to train and control something

I feel like a lot of ppl expect a cat to act exactly like a different goddamn animal. “Why isn’t my cat as affectionate/loving/loyal as a dog?” Uh maybe cause it ISN’T A DOG??? They communicate in different ways but that doesn’t mean cats are incapable of being affectionate loving pets?? Either learn to spot those cues or don’t even bother getting a cat

Dogs can be trained and obedient, cats generally do their own thing. In my experience, men who hate cats also feel the need to control my own life. I feel like the way a person views animals says volumes about their character as a whole.

I feel like this might just be a personal experience thing. I don’t like cats because they’re not particularly affectionate or loving or loyal in my experience

My kitties are so loving and loyal, my boy follows me like a shadow haha. Tbf I used to dislike them because all my friends’ cats growing up were mean as hell, so I assumed they were all like that. Turns out they were just in terrible environments where their boundaries were constantly being violated so they’d lash out. I also grew up with a dog and believed that too

Already went over this with #1, neither one is objectively better and you can still like both with a preference for one or the other 🫶🏼 this is not a debate about which pet is “better” because both have their own unique pros and cons

I dogsit and my cats are sooooo much cuddlier than any of my clients’ dogs. Cats just don’t always immediately warm up to you. You have to gain their trust

Some days my girl cat will scream at me until I let her sit on my lap while I’m on the toilet 😭 she’ll also slowly put all her toys in front of my bedroom door (I keep it closed at night) to remind me that she misses me lol
