Yes but I think mine has been related to my birth control/hormonal issues cause I didn’t really have problems with it before

I usually feel way more depressed right after my period so I have to take supplements to help with it- not saying that’s the reason but could definitely impact emotional/mental state

My ob recommended magnesium and vitamin d! I take it in the morning and can tell a difference in my mood- make sure you take magnesium with food though

Look into b12 as well. If you get labs anytime soon have them check your levels. Low b12 is really common in women and has a wide range of symptoms, including a major effect on mental health. This obviously won’t be the case for everyone but my cousin was literally able to get off her anti depressants and anti anxiety meds once her b12 was normal. I personally can tell when my b12 drops because my anxiety increases tenfold.

if your antidepressants aren’t working there’s a chance depression is a symptom of something else - i was on 5 or 6 different SSRIs and they did nothing for me, but then i was diagnosed with ADHD (which fucks with your dopamine). taking B12 like #6 recommended also helped me!

they did that for me too. something about “we have to make sure your depression is under control before we can treat anything else” like girl stfu. clearly it’s not just depression. they give every afab person SUCH a hard time about getting diagnosed with adhd or autism, like maybe i wouldn’t be depressed if my brain worked right idk 😃
