I'm in pre-med and my neuroscience teacher said if you ever want to find a research topic that is new to just think of a previously done study and include women. Results will be groundbreaking because no one ever cared to study women.

it wasn’t until 2016 that usa and canada mandated having both male and female test subjects in neuroscientific research. prior to then they only used males because they claimed females were “too hormonal” and it would “mess with the test results”. it was only after they finally decided to, you know, actually test that claim and found that not only did neither gender’s hormonal system statistically significantly impact the results, but in the rare cases it did it was the men’s!!!
