fellow anemics! i’ve had by diagnosis for abt 1.5 years and my symptoms are still so strong w iron supplements anything worked for you to help? i feel so lazy most days and im tired of saying no to plans and stuff

I read this as academics and I was like wtf does iron have to do with that? But my gf bought me the fish made out of iron you put in food when it cooks and it puts iron in it and it helps more than the supplements for me. Plus the supplements mess with my tummy

Have you gotten blood work since then? It depends if your iron levels are actually still down or it could be from something else

are you consuming vitamin c with your iron?? vitamin c increases the absorption of iron

it’s best to consume iron rich foods, and when supplementing make sure it’s the ferrous form because it has more bioavailability so it’s more effective
