That’s assuming someone has enough money in the short-run so it’s more affordable in the long-run

Yes but think about it. A box of regular Tampax tampons (50ct) is about $12. Both of the menstrual cups offered at the Walmart in my town are more than $20. So someone who is struggling financially is going to go for the option that is almost half the price, especially if they don’t have the $20+ to spend on a cup. And you can apply this to anyone struggling financially. Yes it’s more cost effective to buy the item that is better quality but more expensive, but someone who needs that item but

Don’t have the means to get the better quality option are going to have to get the cheaper option even though they’re going to spend more money in the long run. This is why so many people have the mentality that poor people stay poor because they are bad with money, but in reality they don’t have the means to save money by buying the better quality option

Same, the only thing that sucks about them is that they take up a lot of space in the trashcan and there’s not really a way to wrap them up well to keep it from getting too smelly
