i have a treadmill so i’ve started walking barefoot on it and focusing on using my entire foot instead of just the toes and balls of my feet. usually in shoes i’m fine but i feel so clunky without shoes
doctors said i’d grow out of walking on my toes by adulthood. i think they were wrong

my mom said when i was a baby i never learned to walk i just skipped straight to running and now i feel like she wasn’t joking cuz why does it feel so weird to walk but running comes so naturally 😭 being a former gymnast doesn’t help either cuz when im barefoot my brain goes relevé mode (fancy word for tippy toes)

We had a toe walker where I work and he got achilles surgery to stretch his achilles tendons and allow him to walk on his heels! He's autistic and toe walked for so long his achilles couldn't straighten anymore. Maybe you could look into seeing if your achilles tendons are too tight and if that's affecting your walking! (surgery might not be an option but at least you'd know if that was affecting you, and could potentially find stretches to do, if that matters to you!)
