Yeah they literally show up to the party in what they were wearing all day and I went home, changed, and did my hair and makeup. The thing is tho I’m not even doing it for male attention. I’m seriously just doing it because I’m a woman so that’s what I think I need to do to feel normal, pretty, and fit in with the other girls that will be there all dolled up as well. Girl it’s so fucked 🫩

Yes!!! When I went home w a guy one night and went to another party with him the next night I was baffled by how little he did getting ready. And yes, a huge part of it is how it makes me feel in my own skin when I get ready and I feel like I look hot and sexy, it’s so empowering. But it can still get exhausting and be hard to make time for, plus I don’t have any girl friends to get ready and pregame with so I just end up spending like 4 hours getting ready alone
