if you're paying less then it would be helpful if money is an issue, but if you're downgrading your school then no it's not worth it

also for context bc our situation is so complicated, he moved to FL 3 years ago and we’ve kept in contact since. he’s staying in FL for college bc in state tuition is insanely cheap. i wouldn’t be going to the same college as him, the tuition would be cheaper than what im paying rn, and we would be sophomore (him)/junior(me) when this happened
