Is getting assessed for ASD beneficial? A lot of ppl, including my autistic fiance and friends, have said they think I have autism but I don't want to seem attention seeking or "trying to be special". Is getting evaluated something I should do to be sure?

I've been told I have traits that "scream" autism but I don't want to say I have something if I don't. I could just have certain things that are similar to autism without having it and I don't want to self diagnose or be attention seeking. I've taken online quizzes that say I should be evaluated but those are notoriously inaccurate. I just don't know if an evaluation is something that would benefit me or if I should just leave the question alone

like i feel like i do line up with a good chunk of it but also, could that just be my personality and traits I've picked up over the years? i don't remember much of my childhood and neither do my parents so idk if Ive been this way my whole life or not. but im scared ill go to a doctor and they'll say i dont have it and ill look like im just trying to "look special" or something. ive noticed more of the traits here recently but im conflicted on seeking evaluation :/
