I’ve been job hunting since August and it’s abysmal out here 🫩 thought I had an interview go well last week just to get told (with no explanation why!) that they went with someone else for the position and I have an interview tonight but I’m so tired

I’m tired and I’m pissed at the world because I have a mf bachelor’s degree! I spent 4 years on my education and I just started my masters program this past fall! What do you mean I’m not getting more interviews than I already am?? I know I lack experience working in a lab (cause I’m a stem major) but I have 2 different research projects I did in my undergrad, doesn’t that count for something???

if you’ve already tried this please feel free to tell me to shut up lol but ive had a LOT of luck looking at local county postings vs sites like indeed/other places like that, especially for stem related stuff. the job market in general is really bad though and job hunting is so so stressful, so it’s def not your fault things are so difficult! i hope you find something soon!!

Why do they make it so hard to hear back from jobs, even ones as simple as a fast food place? Like at least have the common courtesy to tell me that I shouldn’t have my hopes up for something, like I just feel so defeated and helpless with my situation. I’m applying to countless jobs and nothing is sticking
