The first step has to be figuring out your own feelings. Journal, talk it out with a friend, pros and cons, if you have a therapist maybe them. Once you figure out if you love him or not you can talk honestly with him. You could let him know now that you don’t want him to bring up what you said til you’ve had time to think

ur so right but also he literally lives in my hometown and our dynamic kinda reminds me of like middle school for some reason like the way we joke and stuff and it’s tweaking me out because in middle school i was so performative like AH
