i KNOW this is a first world problem but it makes me so sad that i spent my life DREAMING of being a teacher, and now that i am one, teachers are more undervalued and attacked way more than they ever have been. i wanna live my dream, but it was never this

i wanted to be a teacher but honestly even the field i want to be in now feels extremely thankless, it sucks that the jobs that matter and help people are the ones people take for granted the most

As someone who wanted to be a music teacher, the second I got my first job as a preschool teacher, I quit after working in it for a month. Turn around and now I’m working on getting a vet tech degree for large animal

my mom retired from teaching fairly recently and towards the end she was saying how much less support they were getting from admin and how much the culture had been changing

That’s the main reason why I switched careers, the teachers put a lot of pressure on me and basically secluded me from the group. Plus not to mention little kids now adays are assholes
