It’s her mom, Nancy, but I hate to say I don’t think she’s alive at this point :( she’s such a frail old lady and seems to need a lot for her physical health, between a pace maker and life saving meds. It’s sickening to think that she may have died in such a terrifying and lonely situation

Yes Nancy! I meant to put “Savannah Guthrie’s mom” but my brain was moving way faster than my fingers. That’s what I’ve heard is that the medication that was left behind was super important for her and it breaks my heart. When ransom is discussed they don’t say that they’ve received a sign of life which is just awful. Logically I know she is probably no longer with us but I really want to hold out hope :(

I know, I hope the family at least gets to say goodbye if she’s in bad shape but at least alive. I just don’t understand why anyone would do something like that. I get needing money but what a horrible way to go about it…

Probably for the ransom. I think she was an easier target because Savannah aired a coming home clip on her show and the kidnapper(s) got a good idea of the layout of the home and location
