do you have familial adenomatous polyposis? it’s a genetic disorder that causes polyps and colon cancer in young people. 98% of people with the condition will develop colorectal cancer before age 40. it’s actually quite common, and it’s not always inherited (can be a de novo mutation), but it usually is.
