From September to December, my entire job is to reach out to different businesses via email and try and do like bartering exchanges and you will not believe how many people do not have a company email. No I don’t want to message you on Instagram or Facebook, Give me an email DAMMIT!!

social media used to be a space for us to share shit with eachother and i swear after all these stupid ass companies joined tiktok in 2020 those spaces are just getting overan by ads and stupid fucking companies in the comments like "is this play about us?"

The other half of my job is social media curation and management so that doesn’t bother me, it’s all about “relatability” now a days so you won’t really get away from that ever. If there is a screen there is a way to market and that niche will be filled in due time

But also social media manager DO NOT SPEAK FOR THE COMPANY. So I hate messaging on social media because more likely then not the person who will see the message will not be who I need and the loops that I then jump into are endless 🫩

tiktok doesn’t charge a fee to sell items the way etsy or amazon do so i think that’s the draw in for a lot of ppl but at the same time if a business can’t afford a 5% charge everything they make a sale (that’s etsys policy) then they prob shouldn’t be selling anything until they can it’s a lot of small start ups but everyone wants to have a business now so i always have a hard time trusting them cause 9/10 they don’t actually know what they’re doing
