Rant here: does anyone ever feel like they don’t belong or make their family happy? Just the small things trigger me to think this way

Meet someone else’s family and see that everyone is in fact weird and crazy

Very much true but when you lived in a house of verbal abuse…it’s different. Honestly I’m just in a bad mental state atm and my family can trigger me to think unhappy thoughts a lot

Oh shit sorry. Yeah my parents weren’t even bad but I still had to go to therapy to deprogram their negative comments about strangers the keep myself from internalizing them

Now it’s just the small things that trigger me. They probably don’t even know it. Don’t get me wrong they tried and got better, but no one is perfect. It sucks bc every time I go back home, to my hometown, I start feeling this way. I get so depressed easily, don’t feel happy, not worthy enough to be part of the family. I don’t know how to describe it

But at the same time I love my family. It’s so hard

Well you gotta learn to love the things they’re good at and accept the things that won’t change

Yup and that’s why I don’t want to live in my hometown when I grow up

Idk why I said grow up. I meant when I’m done with college 😭💔

Some people die without growing up. I think it’s okay to still be growing up in college

That’s a beautiful way to say what I’m doing rn. I’m still growing up and I’m finally letting my inner child run free. She’s so happy
