I don’t know if anyone else saw the trailer for the animated version of animal farm but I am livid about the fact that they’re watering down the story and removing the important message about fascism

I saw it was coming out and was like great! Kids need to know about this shit but as soon as I realized the only element they kept accurate was the animals taking over the farm I was actually devastated

Very tin foil hat of me but I think they’re doing it to cover up George orwell’s original message and intent. There’s no other reason that should’ve been made into a kid’s movie

I think they’ve been doing that with animal farm for decades tbh. The old cartoon was funded by the CIA as anti-communist propaganda.

Overwhelmingly most people don’t know that George Orwell was a democratic socialist. Like if you think about it for two seconds, the farmer in the book is supposed to represent the capitalists. The pigs aren’t the good guys, but the farmer definitely isn’t. But the government in real life wants you to be an animal rooting for the farmer.
