yk i’ve never thought of it before but you’re right that the gender of the kid is very much stressed in the term “boy mom”. and this is more due to society than the mother, but i’m realizing that “boy moms” are allowed to be a little bit crazy about and overprotective of their sons, but if she does it for her daughter it’s all “ugh, girl moms are crazy 🙄”
