what does it mean to “feel like a specific gender”, I don’t feel like anything except a human. I feel like myself but I would never limit myself or trap myself in a box to please people. It’s stupid.

When I look in the mirror I see a human, I don’t care what my body looks like. It belongs to me. I don’t care what people say about it. I won’t change a thing.

good for you???? i’m trans and my experience is less that i have specific identifiable part of myself that is “feeling like a specific gender” and how you feel about your self and your gender has more to do with how you feel about your body, how you feel about your gender expression, how you feel about other people’s perception of your gender expression, how it feels to interact with other people, etc. it’s why it often takes so long to figure out is because it’s not a straightforward feeling

it’s a combination of various discomforts and reliefs from those discomforts. i don’t think it’s that dissimilar from any other part of my identity. my hobbies my fashion my politics etc are all things that are formed through this interaction with my desires, (my discomforts, and what makes me happy) and the outside world
