wait you’re saying there’s more to womanhood than a nebulous ‘feminine’ feeling? no way

Exactly!!! I love being a girl and I feel so so feminine, some things enhance the feeling for me personally (clothes and makeup can) but that ≠ these things are the only way someone can be feminine / express femininity. It’s so subjective to the individual and that’s why I hate the like weird transphobic question ppl would ask about “well then what makes a woman a woman” like its so subjective

true! i’m personally a woman who’s not very feminine (but i wouldn’t necessarily call myself masculine), and whenever these conversations start about what “womanhood” means, it’s all about hair, makeup/beauty, or fashion trends. it’s extremely alienating, for starters, but it’s also incredibly bizarre and insulting to imply a woman’s entire identity hedges on what she consumes instead of what she does, what she thinks, etc!

Yes, womanhood is really just this feeling you have. Like idk how to explain it other than I feel deeply feminine regardless if dress or act in a societal feminine way if that makes sense, and it’s not defined by my outward appearance
