i think even with how gruesome it can be, as someone who has gone through this and knows many people who have, the recognition of it is good. it’s one thing to romanticize it, and it’s another to highlight. it should be mentioned first thing though in case anyone wants to avoid it

omg YES! I get supper uncomfortable watching it and my sister had also gone through the same thing and I never know if I should tell her to watch something or not

it was in the tv show Reign so I understand it was more “needed” and that a director wanted it but genuinely so awful and evil
