Grew up without a mother figure and got to college to realize I don’t know how to be a girl, does anyone have tips or life hacks?

finding your YOU like the way you want to express yourself takes time. embrace it. when you look back on it you'll probably cringe at yourself. but 🤷🤷 to be cringe is to be free

Just anything from hygiene to makeup, clothes, hobbies, personal growth, etc. just things my mom might not have taught me

ok well in terms of body hygiene, bar soap to get clean, exfoliate, and then use a scented soap if you want to build a scent pattern. lotion your body after showers, especially your elbows and knees. if you know you won’t always remember to do that (I don’t) you can use a body oil in the shower! scent layering isn’t important but can be fun, it’s important to smell clean over everything else!!

skincare - in the mornings use a gentle cleanser or water, a serum if you want to, moisturizer and spf (important!!). at night, if you’re wearing makeup, cleanse well (twice if you can!) and again, serum if you want and moisturizer (I put a lip treatment aka aquaphor on as well)

You are so sweet and helpful, and brands or products you suggest?

ooh ok my holy grail moisturizer/lotion is the la Roche posay triple repair moisturizer. It’s a bit expensive but I find it sooo worth it. Bar soaps - there are several diff dove scents, I like the original! I’m a vanilla girl but I’m also a sucker for the method body washes - the coconut one is sooo good! I love the billie razors as well, they have a little wall mount for the shower wall!! what hair type do you have, also? (straight/wavy/curly/coily) that will help me give hair suggestions!

Ok well I love Redken stuff buttt it’s pretty expensive so the L’Oréal stuff is also very good! Their glossing line is good as is their clarifying line. I use a hydrating shampoo and conditioner whenever I wash my hair and then every 2-3 weeks I use a clarifying shampoo (my favorite is the Ouai detox shampoo)
