Some states have laws banning smoking in cars where children are present but overall it’s not :/ it absolutely should be though. The parent doesn’t have to quit smoking but at least take it outside

I don’t think it’s abusive - from my perspective as an educator that works with students and is a mandated reporter, i wouldn’t think about reporting if a student told me their parents smoke with them in the house. If the child smokes, is being given cigs by family, or the smoking is excessive and impacting the students health or safety, that is abusive behavior and would be reported

I think it is but I also think people should be beaten for smoking in public anywhere except outside bars
