That’s insane. Even for a “real” wedding with the ceremony and all. I’m planning my wedding now and my fiancé and I agree it would be so selfish and rude to expect anyone to pay for more than a couple hours of travel by car and a discounted hotel room

Maybe I’m just traumatized from my (former) best friend’s wedding costing me well over $1k as her MoH but I think marrying couples are expecting way too much of their guests and wedding parties nowadays

It’s my bestie from HS but idk once college started I get ppl grow apart and I did try to keep up our friendship she just rarely answered and then would call out the blue once every handful of months for like 5 minutes. We haven’t texted really since September, abt her wedding

Read my reply to #2. Not to mention I only know her mom and brother. And we all live in the same area besides them and I suppose a few of their friends they made along the way. Mainly HIS friends live in Texas as she upped her life for him after graduation

Not to mention it kinda hurt hard asf that we always talked abt MoH and to be each others, or I had to pick between her and my sister as life got older. Supposedly there’s no MoH but if there was I honestly don’t think it was me, I think Ik who else of the one person I only know by name
