I get a little annoyed when I or somebody else says something positive about whatever public figure and someone comes in and says “oh they’re problematic for xyz” because like most of the time I didn’t know and the other times I forgot

I’m sure some people do intend to excuse behaviors but many don’t. I don’t. I just don’t remember what they did wrong. Exception being Blake lively. I do think it’s weird that she had a wedding at a plantation and that a lot of plantations are wedding venues. I think it’s bad and I also think that she shouldn’t have been sexually harassed at work

i dont think its coming from a point of condescension, they’re just letting you know lmao. for example, when ppl were talking about how 50 cent did the diddy documentary and praising him for it, i had to bring ppl back to earth, bc hes like known to be incredibly violent towards women, so it wasn’t for the victims to get justice just personal beef. and a lot of ppl didn’t know that. i dont fault them for it. but it is important to know what u can who ur taking up for ya know.

im not big on celebrity culture anyways i just hear things in passing. but thats part of the reason why, we dont know these ppl at all. so if i mention sb casually and i get a “oh did you know they did x,y,z” i like it bc then i can know if thats sb i wanna support or not🤷🏾‍♀️
