And many use religion as an excuse for excluding people. They completely miss the point. Historically religion has been used to control people, as is happening now, but people that misuse religion are completely missing the point

I’m struggling with it because I still believe but I avoid a lot of other Christians because I’m just tired of hearing the same closed minded rhetoric.

I still go to my family’s church because it’s pretty normal (in my opinion). But I am extremely hesitant to join any new group in the future. I just cut off the group I was a part of on my campus because it was straight up culty. Now I’m just kind of tired of being fear-mongered at.
