tbh if this was reversed and me and a man were right about to entering a relationship i wouldn’t want him to do that even tho ur not bf and gf but ur exclusive dating each other right? idk it’s not technically betrayal but it would really feel like one and make me re think how much he actually likes me if he can do that

If you wanna date him I'd say better to not. I would be pretty peeved if I was getting close with a guy and he suddenly starts flirting with other people because we're not "official" yet
