I feel bad for my mom she’s now an empty nester, I’ve always urged her to do more stuff outside of us but she didn’t and I feel likes she’s lonely. Any tips, or anyone else have a parent like this?

u might be able to start by helping her find some facebook groups about things she’s interested in! for example, my mom runs, so she’s in a couple of groups for women runners and the like. if these groups hold events and stuff like that it gives her an opportunity to meet ppl

I think my dad is kind of like this, but not really sure how I would handle it

Does she complain about it?

She doesn’t do much! She likes meeting ppl tho. It’s hard bc she’s temporarily disabled (cancer) but getting better. I might urge her to try waiting tables one day a week again, she loves being social w her coworkers.
