Idk who needs to hear this but your first time moving on your own should not be with your boyfriend! You need to learn and experience living alone. It’s essential for your adulthood.

I will never buy an apartment with my bf. Until we are married, and he agrees. So much could happen and it’s a mess to figure that out after the breakup. He’s helping me move into my dorm bc we won’t see each other for a few months due to different colleges. But I’m grateful bc last year when I did it alone, the elevator broke down and I had to ask my male friend who was an RA in the building to carry up my fridge 💔

Furthermore, don’t let anyone else be in charge of your finances. Get a prenup if you get married as well. If it makes more financial sense to move in with your partner without ever being on your own, have a contingency plan and get on the same page about household division of labor BEFORE moving in. I say this as someone who is lucky enough to NOT regret moving straight in with my partner.

I will take any advice anybody has. She’s a good person and has walked on over again. I’ve tried to explain to her that there are limits but she’s like oh he sort of made up for it. But never apologized, and he called her ugly. Why would he stay with her if that’s what he thinks, other than her doing chores and sex

Unfortunately you cannot convince her by reason alone, although it usually helps. Women remain in relationships like this for many reasons, but it sounds like in this case it’s some combination of low self esteem, inexperience, and a lack of profound friendships outside of her boyfriend. Continuing to support her and reaffirm that she deserves better goes a long way, even if she doesn’t seem on board with leaving him immediately.

Thank you 🙏 I remind her how worthy she is bc she is and he’s def not. I’ve suggested taking a break and not breaking up, and she considered it for two days but then didn’t want to. Yeah she’s had a lot of shitty friends lately ur right. I’m always going to support her and I will show her she deserves so much more. I want to make sure she doesn’t end up married and unhappy bc he wants a kid now and she doesn’t and he’s against abortion so if something happens she can’t tell him
