In the end it’s your child and you cannot let your dad’s presence affect your child’s safety and health. He can have an opinion but it’s your decision and he should respect it

oh absolutely, whether he is there or not, my son is getting his shots. and he knows he has gotten all of the ones recommended so far. i’m just worried about him causing a scene

That’s valid. When people freak out I love to remain overly calm to dramatize the ridiculousness of their behavior - I legit talk to them slowly and softly and gently (like to a toddler)
