
i disagree with that. “period” has always been used to refer to the bleeding experienced during menstruation. that’s bc cis women had to use coded language to refer to it bc it’s been a taboo subject that menstruating people are expected to hide. a doctor asks when your last “period” was when they refer to you bleeding. i’ve never met someone who menstruated who said they were on their period and didn’t mean it to refer to bleeding. there needs to be a different or more specific term for this
And since they’re used interchangeably so commonly I think it’s fair for you to decide on a definition whenever you use it. I was just explaining that HRT does cause period symptoms even in people without female reproductive organs, which is why some people claim that trans women can have periods
