I’m more unsurprised because DC greenlit a fart fetish comic and once had a writer that was later arrested for the possession of CP

Oh it gets worse. The writer that got charged for CP? He’s responsible for a storyline where a thirteen year old Green Lantern named Arisia gets a crush on Hal Jordan, who initially rejects it until she uses her Lantern powers to age her in physically to 18 (emphasis on physically, she’s still mentally 13) and then Hal is like “ok” and DOES IT WITH HER!!!!

Oh and then there’s just the facts that Deathstroke is canonically a predator and a couple writers keep trying to make Batman and Batgirl a thing despite the fact that Barbara is the same age as Bruce’s son.

That is actually CRAZY. I wasn’t aware there was all of this nasty stuff going on with DC writers. I just looked that guy up and it’s sad all he got was 6 years in prison. I’m fully convinced people like that just don’t belong in society.

Yeah it’s a big reason why most DC fans choose to pick and choose what they consider canon. Most of us choose to ignore the Hal storyline as well as the Batman/Batgirl thing because it’s weirdly out of character compared to the rest of their respective canons.
