It depends on ur comfort level I’d say. I don’t wear mine out but I don’t judge people who do unless it’s like if someone is showing up to a meeting in a bonnet I’d feel like it’s too casual for the situation but if I see em in Walmart in a bonnet idc

i don’t wear it out unless i’m going to the beauty supply, not being seen, or in a dire situation (hasn’t happened), imo most places bonnets aren’t acceptable to wear out (put your hair in a pony, do a head wrap, etc.)

I would say same category as like sweatpants w a sleep shirt or sweatpants w house shoes. It’s house attire but I also go to Walmart in my pjs sometimes yk
