oh, sure! imagine a bathtub where the faucet is your libido/desire for sex. allosexuals have multiple methods of release, which you can imagine as a drain (or multiple) which siphons the water. this keeps the water from getting too high or overflowing (equivalent to being really horny or craving an outlet)

for allos, they might not have the means to use those drains (e.g. not being in a relationship or discomfort with masturbation), but the drains are still *there.* for us aces, the drains are either smaller or nonexistent. that means, for us aces with regular/high libido, we “fill up” or “overflow” a lot 😭 which means we might try using a drain that doesn’t exist or work (like looking for sex when we won’t get any satisfaction from it)

I’m aroace and this also works for romantic attraction, and both are really irritating since I REALLY want both but will still desire romantic/sexual satisfaction while doing smth that would give an allo that satisfaction
